Darren Till Early Life And Career

When he was 12, Darren Till started learning Muay Thai, which was the first step in his journey into combat sports. At age 14, Till quit school to focus on sports, and at age 17, he joined the team Kaobon to train in mixed martial arts. Before moving to Brazil and joining Astra Fight Team, he went 3-0 as an amateur with Team Karbon.

Till fought Luciano Oliveira Ribeiro in his first professional fight at Sparta MMA 3: Class in 2012. He beat Luciano with a unanimous decision, and he used that win as motivation to win his next 12 fights, 11 of which were in Brazil and one in Argentina. In 2015, Darren joined the UFC with a perfect 12-0 record.

Darren Till At UFC Fight

At UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Alves, Darren Till fought Wendell de Oliveira for the first time. He knocked out Oliveira in the second round with elbows, keeping his winning streak going. Darren’s next fight was against Nicolas, and the result was a controversial majority draw. After the draw, Till beat Jessin Ayari and Bojan Velikovi by unanimous decision to keep his winning streak going. He then fought Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in his first-ever main event fight at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Till. He beat Cowboy and won via TKO (punches).

In his next fight, Till went up against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson in his hometown of Liverpool and won by unanimous decision. This led to him fighting Tyron Woodley for the UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 228.

In the title fight, Woodley beat Till very easily. Woodley outworked him on his feet and was better on the ground. In the last minute of the second round, he put Till to sleep with a D’Arce choke hold. Till’s next fight was against Jorge Masvidal, and he lost by TKO in the second round. He then came back and beat Kelvin Gastelum by a split decision at UFC 244. After this win, Till lost to Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson in a row. He has now lost his last two fights in a row.

Darren Till The Next fight

On the main card of UFC 282, the MMA fighter from Liverpool is said to be facing Dricus du Plessis from South Africa in an exciting middleweight fight. Brett Okamoto of ESPN said that the fight has been “verbally agreed” and will take place in Las Vegas on December 10. Till, who is 29 years old, hasn’t fought since UFC Fight Night 191 in Paradise, Nevada, last year. He lost to Derek Brunson, and Jorge Masvidal and Robert Whittaker also beat him in his last two fights. But he wanted to get back in the cage before the end of the year because he plans to make a “monster” comeback in 2023. But Du Plessis is no pushover.

In his last three fights in the octagon, he beat everyone, including Trevin Giles, Markus Perez, and Brad Tavares. Till said earlier this summer that he wanted to make sure he had “cared” for his health first because he had been hurt a lot over the years.

How Long Was Darren Till Unbeaten In MMA?

When Darren Till joined the UFC, he was one of the most exciting English fighters to do so since Michael Bisping. But Till’s recent UFC form has somewhat undone all of “The Gorilla’s” amazing work on his way to the top of the sport. Till started fighting professionally in mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2013 and went to 17 fights without losing. This winning streak lasted until Tyron Woodley beat him at UFC 228 in 2018.

Darren Till had a great run of wins until he drew with Nicolas Dalby. The Englishman had a tough third round in his second UFC fight, which led to a shocking draw. Since he lost to Woodley, “The Gorilla” has only won one of his last four UFC fights, with the Americans, Jorge Masvidal, Robert Whittaker, and Derek Brunson, beating him.

Darren Till’s Last Fight

Darren Till’s last fight was against Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night 191: Brunson vs. Till. Till lost the fight in the 3rd round by submission (rear-naked choke).
