Hey, Are you a Taylor Swift Fan like me then this article is all for you. Stay with us till the end of this article. We will talk about Evermore Taylor Swift’s new album.

Let’s get started šŸ™‚

Evermore Taylor Swift

Evermore isĀ  Taylor Swift’s second album released in 2020. You can also say it is the sister album of folklore. This is the tenth studio album of Taylor Swift. . And the concept and the soundtrack are so similar to Folklore. The Folklore album consists of 17 songs. Ā And this album also has 15 songs including two bonus songs in the deluxe album. I personally love every album of her but this sister album is quite different from other albums of her. The songs are so calming and beautiful.

But I come back stronger than a ’90s trend

Yes, she definitely comes back stronger. Her vocals are on another level and the concept of storytelling like she did in Folklore. Evermore is also a storytelling album. Like in Folklore there is a story between three people a love triangle between James, Betty, and Inez. She is such a genius.

This Album is a surprise gift for swifties. It was released throughĀ Republic RecordsĀ on December 11, 2020, less than five months after Swift’s eighth studio album,Ā Folklore.Folklore Album Taylor Swift

The album features guest appearances from American bandsĀ Bon Iver,Ā Haim, andĀ the National. Its lead single, “Willow”, premiered with a self-directed music video coinciding with the album’s launch.

Willow Taylor Swift Lyrics

Willow is the title track of this album and the video of this song starts where the cardigan music video ends. Both videos are so magical and mythical which is so beautiful about this album.

Here are the lyrics of Willow.

I’m like the water when your ship rolled in that night

Rough on the surface, but you cut through like a knife

And if it was an open-shut case

I never would’ve known from that look on your face

Lost in your current like a priceless wine

[Chorus]

The more that you say, the less I know

Wherever you stray, I follow

I’m begging for you to take my hand Wreck my plans, that’s my man

[Verse 2]

Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind

Head on the pillow, I could feel you sneakin’ in

As if you were a mythical thing

Like you were a trophy or a champion ring

But there was one prize I’d cheat to win

[Chorus]

The more that you say, the less I know

Wherever you stray, I follow

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

You know that my train could take you home

Anywhere else is hollow

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

[Bridge]

Life was a willow, and it bent right to your wind

They count me out time and time again

Life was a willow, and it bent right to your wind

But I come back stronger than a ’90s trend

[Verse 3]

Wait for the signal, and I’ll meet you after dark

Show me the places where the others gave you scars

Now this is an open-shut case I guess

I should’a known from the look on your face

Every bait-and-switch was a work of art

[Chorus] The more that you say, the less I know

Wherever you stray, I follow

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

You know that my train could take you home

Anywhere else is hollow

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

The more that you say, the less

I know Wherever you stray, I follow

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

You know that my train could take you home

Anywhere else is hollow

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

[Outro]

Hey, that’s my man That’s my man

Yeah, that’s my man

Baby, every bait-and-switch was a work of art

That’s my man Hey, that’s my man

I’m begging for you to take my hand

Wreck my plans, that’s my man

Critics Reviews of Evermore Taylor Swift

Entertainment Weekly: Swift’s lyric-writing abilities feel leveled-up on Evermore, its characters are drawn in pointillistic detail. … Similarly, the musical risks on Evermore are bigger, both in scope and in the payoff. … Freedom from expectations has, both with this album and its predecessor, led to Swift’s leaps giving new heights to her already-pretty-skyscraping career.
New Musical Express (NME): If ā€˜Folklore’ is an introspective, romantic older sister, ā€˜Evermore’ is the freewheeling younger sibling. ā€˜Folklore’ was Swift’s masterful songwriting spun through a very specific sonic palette; ā€˜Evermore’ feels looser, with more experimentation, charm, and musical shades at play. The new album reaps the rewards the stylistic leap of faith that ā€˜Folklore’ represented, pushing the boundaries of that sonic palette further still.
Ā
Variety: What ā€œEvermoreā€ is full of is narratives that, like the music that accompanies them, really come into focus on a second or third listen, usually because of a detail or two that turns her sometimes impressionistic modes completely vivid. … It’s an embarrassment of stunning albums-ending-in-ā€œoreā€ that she’s mined out of a locked-down muse.
