Netflix doesn’t usually keep limited series going longer than they should (if they did, we’d already have a second season of “The Queen’s Gambit”), but that doesn’t mean there isn’t enough content for another season of “Maid.” At the end of Season 1, Sean (Nick Robinson) agrees to stop fighting with Alex (Margaret Qualley) over shared custody of Maddy (Rylea Nevaeh Whittet) so that he can focus on getting sober.

Alex can finally leave Washington and go to college in Missoula, Montana, which is what she’s always wanted to do. Paula, Alex’s mother, played by Andie MacDowell, said she would go with her daughter and granddaughter to their new home, but she decides to stay behind with her new boyfriend instead. So, when one generation breaks a bad cycle that kept them stuck in bad habits, another generation holds on to it.

If “Maid” came back for a second season and kept the same cast, we could see Alex and Maddy in their new life as the young mom juggles being a parent and going to college. Also, in the last episode of Season 1, Sean tells Alex that he will come back once he has his life together and is clean, so he may show up.

Season 1 feels like it’s coming to an end, but that’s because “Maid” has just finished one part of Alex’s life and is starting a new one. This means that there’s a lot more story to be told in future seasons.

Maid Season 2: Expected Cast?

Netflix hasn’t shown yet that it will bring “Maid” back for a second season. But if the streaming giant did decide to bring back the popular limited series, there are two ways that the new season could be cast. First, “Maid” could follow in the footsteps of “Big Little Lies” and keep the same cast for Maid Season 2.

This would mean that Margaret Qualley as Alex, Nick Robinson as Maddy’s father Sean, Rylea Nevaeh Whittet as Maddy, and Andie MacDowell as Alex’s mother Paula would all be back for new episodes. Since most of the new season would probably take place in Missoula, Montana, where Alex and Maddy end up in Season 1, some new characters would show up to add to the story.

The second way to cast the show would be to make it more of an anthology series, like HBO did with “The White Lotus,” another limited series that became a regular show after the first season did well. If Season 2 of “Maid” went this way, the story could be about a new main character and the world could be filled with other new people. Throughout “Maid,” we met many women who, like Alex, were trying to start over and get out of their difficult situations. It would be pretty easy for the show to follow one of them and bring in a new cast of characters.

Maid Season 2: Is Release Date Out?

Maid Season 1: Quick Review

Season 1 of Maid has been well received by viewers. In the first season of the TV show Maid, we saw that Alex, who had run away with Maddy in the middle of the night, needed help from social services and was working with Value Maids. However, she soon found out that her problems were just beginning.

After spending the night with Maddy on the floor of a ferry station, Alex finds a place to stay. But worries about custody and an unhappy customer push her to the edge. Alex tries to talk with Sean about how to take care of Maddy while also figuring out how the government support system works. She also takes on a cleaning job that is almost too much for her to handle.

After cleaning Regina’s beautiful home on Thanksgiving, Alex thinks about what it would be like to live in such comfort before taking the idea one step further. Alex tries to bring back memories while working at the childhood home of a well-known thief in the neighborhood. He also finds out why Maddy has a scary cough.
Later, Alex looks for a new place to live, which is hard because she gets help from the government. She is determined to send Maddy to a better preschool. Alex, on the other hand, juggles her difficult housing situation, Paula’s mental health, and writing about her clients and a couple who live different lives.

Then, while dealing with Paula’s health problem and helping Regina, Alex looks into the possibility of going to college despite a series of heartbreaking setbacks. Back at the start, Alex is looking for a safe place and a way to stay alive legally, and she realizes how much of herself she has lost in the process. After that, Alex fights for her future with the help of creative writing therapy by fighting with Sean over custody of Maddy. Watch what happens next.

There is a good chance that Maid will be renewed for Maid Season 2. If a second season of the TV show Maid is made, we expect it to pick up where the first season left off.
