Vikings Valhalla season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot & Other Updates!

Within the first 24 hours of its premiere, Vikings Valhalla became Netflix’s most-watched show. There’s a lot of history and mythology involved in this new series, but it’s set 100 years in the future, where civilization has changed, but the war for dominance continues.

Fans are eager to see more of their favourite characters after the bloody and nail-biting climax of season one (well, the ones that are still alive).

 Vikings Valhalla: Release Date

A happy ending has been found, fortunately. Although we haven’t been given an official release date for Season 2, we can assume that it will be out soon thanks to the show’s creators.

“I am keen to get the last episode of season two out there,” Jeb Stuart told  in an exclusive interview before Season One was even released: “I am just finishing the editing of the last episode of season two this week.” He also revealed that Season 3 filming will commence later this year in Ireland.

So, he vowed that season three would be “very thrilling” because his Vikings would be leaving Scandinavia.

Vikings Valhalla: Cast

Even if the rest of the cast is killed off in season one, Sam Corlett, Frid Gustavsson, and Leo Suter (Harald Sigurdsson) are highly assured to return in season two.

The conceited antagonist Olaf, played by Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, is also set to return. We can expect Bradley Freegard (King Canute) and Soren Pilmark to return for personal reasons (King Forkbeard).

Will Forkbeard find Olaf in season 2 of Vikings Valhalla?

When Kre’s army was exhausted, Olaf swooped in to seize Kattegat, which had a far lesser force than Olaf’s. A temporary respite from Forkbeard’s pursuit of revenge for Olaf’s conspiracy with Queen lfgifu against King Canute was provided by Freydis’s death of Kre, which gave Olaf the opportunity to bask in the splendour of Kattegat’s rulership.

Before he was last seen, Olaf’s army had all left him, and he appeared to have given up hope, taking off his regalia and exiting the enormous hall. He may have been fleeing or decided to accept Forkbeard’s swift and possibly fatal retaliation, but we do not know for sure. Olaf’s nemesis, Fork, may have evaded capture in Season 1, but I’m curious to see how long it will take Fork and Canute to track down the traitor.
